Update Your Benefits for 2025
What's on the Menu for 2025?
This is your annual opportunity to review and update your benefits for 2025. Consider changes you might have experienced this year. Did your family expand? Have your medical, dental, or life insurance needs changed? Open Enrollment only rolls around once each year so now is the time to adjust your plans and coverages.
And this year, you will have more choices and options than ever. We heard your feedback on our benefits, and for 2025 you will see some important additions and changes. Our goal is to provide a comprehensive benefits package that supports you now and into the future.
We have outlined the details of the choices you have here. We encourage you to read through this page to see for yourself what’s new for 2025.

New Medical Plans Available to All Benefits-Eligible Employees
For medical coverage, all eligible employees will be able to choose from the new Value PPO plan, the new Choice PPO plan, and the existing Choice HSA plan.
- No matter which plan you are in today, you can choose any of these three plan options.
- The two new PPO plans will offer more predictability in healthcare costs, such as having set copays for office visits and prescriptions drugs.
- The existing Choice HSA plan will remain the same, including the option to contribute to a health savings account (HSA).
Value HRA, Choice HRA & Value HSA Frozen to New Participants
The existing Value HRA, Choice HRA, and Value HSA medical plans will be frozen to new participants, and no longer offered after 2025.
- If you are currently enrolled in one of these plans, you can stay in your current plan, but you will not be able to select these plans if you’re not already a current participant.
- If you want to change your medical plan, you will have the choice between the new Value PPO and Choice PPO plans, and the existing Choice HSA plan.
If you are currently enrolled in the Value HRA or Choice HRA, you have until the end of 2025 to spend any funds in your HRA.
- HRA funds will no longer be available after Dec. 31, 2025.
- No new contributions will be made to the HRAs. You can check your balance by visiting Accrue Health anytime.
Slight Increase in Medical & Dental Costs
You will see a slight increase in employee contributions for medical coverage and dental coverage in 2025.
- For the last two years, BBI has not increased how much you pay in premium costs for our medical plan options.
- This year there will be slight increases in medical and dental premiums, but BBI is still picking up the majority of costs.
- Your per-paycheck deduction will depend on your salary and the plan you choose.
- The new Value PPO medical plan will have the same per-paycheck cost as the existing Value HRA that is frozen to new participants.
Exciting Changes to Our Wellness Program
We know your health and wellness is important to you and your family – and they are important to BBI too. In 2025, you will still have the opportunity to participate in wellness activities and get rewarded. This is what you need to do:
- Complete the online health risk assessment.
- Complete either a biometric screening or a routine physical exam.
- Earn a total of 200 points.
By completing wellness activities, you will earn a medical premium discount in 2026! Plus, if your spouse is enrolled in a BBI medical plan and completes the same requirements, you will receive an additional premium discount for 2026!
*With the updates to our wellness program, BBI will not be making contributions to HRAs or HSAs in 2025.
FSA & HSA Contribution Limits
The IRS contribution limits for flexible spending accounts (FSAs) and health savings accounts (HSAs) will be higher for 2025.
FSAs:
If you have a healthcare flexible spending account (FSA), you may contribute up to $3,200 in pretax dollars to use for eligible healthcare expenses.
HSAs:
If you’re enrolled in an HSA medical plan, you can still contribute pretax dollars to your HSA to use for eligible healthcare expenses in 2025.
If you have individual coverage, the maximum you may contribute to your HSA is $4,300 or $8,850 if you have family coverage.
Other Enhancements for 2025
Pharmacy
- You will no longer be required to use Walgreens or CVS for maintenance medications you take on a regular basis. You can fill prescriptions for a 90-day supply of maintenance medications through the Express Scripts mail order program or at any network pharmacy starting Jan. 1, 2025.
- All medical plans will now include 100% coverage for select preventive prescriptions, such as those for asthma, diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, and tobacco cessation.
- The 2025 prescription drug benefits will integrate with GoodRx, automatically providing discounted pricing at the pharmacy when it is available.
Dental
The dental PPO plan orthodontia benefit maximum is increasing to $1,500.
Vision
The vision plan eyeglass frame allowance is increasing to $180.
Maternity & Short-Term Disability (STD)
Another way we are taking care of our employees is by providing a new Short Term Disability (STD) benefit for team members who are recovering from childbirth.
- This program enhancement will provide you with a benefit of 100% of your base salary replaced weekly, subject to applicable taxes.
- Maternity short-term disability benefits begin after a one-week waiting period, providing income replacement for weeks two through six, or weeks two through eight for C-section recovery.
